Small team, end-to-end ownership
Every person here ships. We do not have a layer of people who specify work that other people do — designer-engineers and engineer-designers all the way down.
Careers
We're an early-stage UK company building a Business Operating System for SMEs. We don't have open roles to advertise yet, but we read every introduction. If you want to be on the list when we open, here is how.
Until we have a real role, we'd rather not run a job advert that attracts hundreds of CVs we can't do justice to. Email a short introduction (your work, what you'd want to build, what you'd want from us) to hiring@yionstack.co.uk. When we have a role that matches, we'll come back to you first.
Working here, when we're hiring
Every person here ships. We do not have a layer of people who specify work that other people do — designer-engineers and engineer-designers all the way down.
We build for British SMEs. We hire people who get a kick out of HMRC MTD edge cases, awarding-body packs, and the texture of how UK businesses actually run.
Every commit either compounds or it has to justify itself. We default to writing less code and reading more of what is already there.
Logistics, when the time comes
UK-based. Remote-first with a hub in Huddersfield. Right-to-work in the UK is a baseline because we are too small to run sponsorship at this stage.
Conversation, then a small paid project (in your specialism), then a final conversation. We value the work over the interview performance.
People who already build. We read what you ship — github, dribbble, gov.uk projects, NHS projects, side projects, agency work — over what your CV says you did.
Honest pay, real ownership of the surface you build, a founder you can reach today, and a product where every line of code touches a UK business that pays for it.
See also about us for context, and anti-bribery and whistleblowing for our standing policies as an employer.
No template. A few links to what you've built and a paragraph on what you'd want to build with us is plenty.
